Cleveland Browns general manager J0hn Dorsey started his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers being drafted by the team in 1984, but he isn't making any friends with the team or their fan base now. In an interview with Jon Donavan, the voice of the Browns Dorsey said that he thinks the Browns fan base is more passionate than Packers fans.

“The fan base in Cleveland…for the Cleveland Browns is more passionate than Green Bay Packers fans,” Dorsey said via 247 Sports.

The Browns haven't had a ton of success the last decade or so but it seems their fans still come out every game in force to cheer on the Browns, even if some years they had to wear paper bags on their head. It's still quite the claim to say that they have a better fan base than the Packers, one of the most passionate in the league.

Dorsey talked about how important football is to Ohio when he took the job, and it was one of the reasons why he was so excited to get this team back to a winner.

“We all know that the Cleveland Browns fan base is as good as there is in the National Football League. I understand the passion of why they are so good. I was reading a book somewhere where of the original 11 football teams in the National Football League, I was going through this and I found it fascinating that five of those 11 teams, they were all from cities in Ohio. That just shows you the importance of football within this community. All I can tell them is that it won’t be from lack of hard work. We are going to do our due diligence in terms of bringing really good football players to awake the sleeping giant as we have said in the past. We are going to awake this thing. That is how I look at it,” Dorsey said.

The Packers and the Browns don't face off this year so the fans will have to battle for the better fan base another year.
