The Cleveland Browns made one of the biggest splashes of the 2019 offseason when they traded for superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants.

Beckham Jr. was supposed to make them a Super Bowl contender, as now they had an absolutely lethal offense.

That didn't happen though, Baker Mayfield (and others) struggled. And it led to the Browns not even reaching .500.

Overall, Beckham Jr.'s numbers were really good. 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns. For most receivers those are great stats. However, for Beckham Jr., that's a down year.

Not counting the 2017 season, when he played in just four games, all three of those stats (receptions, yards and touchdowns) were the lowest of his career.

That being said, big things are expected from Beckham Jr. in 2020. At least, according to Charean Williams of ProFootballTalk.com, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has high expectations for him.

“Absolutely. Odell is extremely talented,” Haslam said. “He was hampered by the groin injury [last season]. Listen, he could have done some things better, and we could have done some things better. I think Kevin is very excited to have Odell on the team. The surgery went well. He is rehabbing, and we look forward to having him and being a big, big producer for the team this year.”

Beckham Jr. is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL. So this is a safe thing for Haslam to bet on. He's expecting major things from Beckham Jr. and there's really no reason not to.

If Beckham Jr. is healthy, he'll always put up pretty big numbers. He seems motivated and so does his quarterback. That is a recipe for eye-popping stats from the Browns' star wide receiver.
