Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham is done for the season after tearing his left ACL against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, according to Josina Anderson.

Beckham suffered the injury while trying to make a tackle after a Baker Mayfield interception in the first quarter of the Browns' 37-34 victory. The injury was believed to be severe on Sunday, and Beckham has confirmed the worst.

While Cleveland is now 5-2 on the season after Mayfield's heroics against Cincinnati, this puts a bit of a damper on the situation. While Beckham has been somewhat disappointing with the Browns, he was still an important weapon at Mayfield's disposal. The 27-year-old finishes his 2020 season with 23 catches for 319 yards and three touchdowns, along with a 50-yard rushing touchdown.

This injury has implications when it comes to Beckham's future in Cleveland:

With Beckham out for the season, Mayfield will be relying on the likes of Jarvis Landry (Browns' leading receiver), Rashard Higgins (six catches for 110 yards on Sunday), Austin Hooper (when healthy), Harrison Bryant (two touchdowns in Hooper's place on Sunday) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (game-winning touchdown to beat Bengals) in the passing game.

Kareem Hunt is also a threat out of the backfield as a receiver, and Cleveland has one of the best rushing offenses in the NFL. The Browns are still a dangerous club without Beckham, but that doesn't make this any less of a bummer for them.
