At 9-3 on the season, the Cleveland Browns are well on their way to one of their best campaigns in what feels like an eternity at this point. For Browns general manager Andrew Berry, the high-ranking team executive believes that star quarterback Baker Mayfield deserves a lot more credit than he's gotten for the role he has played in Cleveland's unparalleled season.

Berry had some high praise for the Browns' third-year QB, who himself is only getting better year after year:

“I think Baker deserves a lot of credit in terms of how he's approached this year,” Berry said, via Jelani Scott of NFL.com. “I don't know that the challenge of going into a third offensive system, no offseason can be appreciated enough externally. That's no easy task for any player, let alone a young quarterback.”

Mayfield's arsenal was on full display in Cleveland's Week 13 victory over the Tennessee Titans. The 25-year-old completed 25-of-33 passes for a 334-yard gain to go along with four touchdowns, as he led the Browns to a 41-35 win over the Titans. This follows Mayfield's two-touchdown performance from Week 12, who himself has logged six TD's in the past two contests.

As for Cleveland, they've now logged four consecutive victories, and five in their last six. They currently sit on the second spot of the AFC North, behind the 11-1 Pittsburgh Steelers, who themselves own the best record in the entire league.

The Browns are in the midst of an historic campaign, and there's no denying that Mayfield has played a key role in their unprecedented success.
