Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has raised more than a few eyebrows recently for his seemingly change of heart on wide receiver Antonio Brown. However, the veteran NFL tactician has a good reasoning for that.

To recall, Arians is not a big fan of Brown coming to the Buccaneers last season and only gave in to the request of quarterback Tom Brady. It is particularly worth noting that Arians said one mistake and AB would be out, so after the star wideout was found to fake his COVID-19 vaccine card, people expect the head coach to be stricter and live up to his words.

However, Arians didn't do that and has been warm on Brown's return after he served his three-game suspension for the COVID-19 vaccine card issue. Now, he doubled down on his stance for the Buccaneers receiver and shared how he has changed–albeit slowly.

“I wasn’t very proud of what he did this time, but I’ve got a spot in my heart for him now,” Arians said during a recent appearance on the Tiki & Tierney show on CBS Sports Radio, per JoeBucsFan.com.

Bruce Arians also highlighted his belief that Antonio Brown is working to be a better and different person in order to change the narrative around him and his reputation for bringing several off-field distractions.

“I think he’s working at it. He’s still got a ways to go. He’s working hard at it,” the Buccaneers coach added.

Based on what he has shown so far, though, Brown certainly has a lot to do to become the player Arians and the Buccaneers expect him to be. Hopefully, Arians is right to give AB another chance.
