Dirk Koetter and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be shorthanded again on Sunday with wide receiver DeSean Jackson having to sit for a third straight week because of a thumb issue that has made it hard for him to grip the football.

Jackson has been a non-participant this week in practice, so there really never was much cause for optimism that he would be able to go. It's unclear if he will be able to play in either of the final two weeks of the season, but the Bucs only ruled him out for this weekends game against the Baltimore Ravens.

With Jackson out, expect it to be the same three wide receivers getting the playing time as the last few games in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Adam Humphries. Jackson was a really good deep threat when Ryan Fitzpatrick was starting, but he hasn't had as much production with Jameis Winston under center.

On the season, Jackson has had 40 catches for 750 yards and four touchdowns. In his last start against the San Francisco 49ers, he only had three receptions for 19 yards. The Buccaneers do have a slim hope of reaching the playoffs and against a defense like the Ravens, it's going to hurt not being at full strength.

On defense, the Bucs are also going to be without safety Justin Evans who the Buccaneers also ruled out on Friday. That might not be as big of loss with Lamar Jackson doing most of his damage on the ground.
