The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking like one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl from the NFC once again. The GOAT, Tom Brady, came out of retirement. The Buccaneers re-signed wide receiver Chris Godwin, center Ryan Jensen and running back Leonard Fournette.

They also added defensive back Logan Ryan and wideout Russell Gage, making this team as dangerous as ever. However, the one piece that is still missing from the success of the last two seasons is Rob Gronkowski. News previously surfaced that Gronkowski acknowledged that if the Bucs signed Julian Edelman, he would return for certain.

That obviously has not happened. But according to NBC Sports writer Charean Williams, there are some signs pointing to a possible return to Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers’ former tight end admitted to TMZ that if he returns, it would only be with Tampa Bay.

“It’s just the Bucs… I love that organization, man. Love the guys there, it’s family over there,” Gronkowski said. He went on to delve deeper into his offseason. Despite the fact he is thoroughly enjoying doing things other than football-related activity, he still works out in Tampa.

“I feel like I can get ready at any time for football…like it’ll take me two weeks only, so, I’m not really worried about it,” Gronkowski said.

The Buccaneers do not have Gronkowski under contract, but he has still worked out this offseason at the team’s facilities. Knowing he could get ready at any time, the most likely scenario is a part-time season with him joining the Buccaneers after the first month or so.
