Don't look now, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the most productive wide receiver duo in the NFL. On Sunday, in a win over the Atlanta Falcons, their dynamic duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin each surpassed 1,000 yards in the NFL season — an impressive feat considering the Buccaneers have played 11 games.

After the win, Jameis Winston, the go-big-or-go-home quarterback that helped them achieve their statistics, shared his thoughts on the two hitting 1,000 yards.

It's big,” said Winston, via Greg Auman of The Athletic. “I'm blessed to have those two targets, and other guys as well. But, it was kind of cool to see both of them go for a thousand on the same day.”

In the game, Evans tallied four receptions for 50 yards. In hitting 1,000 yards, he tied Hall of Famer Randy Moss for the only receivers to accomplish the mark in each of their first six seasons. He has 62 receptions for 1,043 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.

While Evans is used to hitting a thousand yards, Godwin accomplished doing so for the first time in his three-year career on Sunday. He had a career day while getting to 1,000, as he caught seven balls for 184 yards and two touchdowns, including a 71-yard long. Statistically, he has surpassed Evans, as he has 70 receptions for 1,071 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019.

It is unknown if Winston will be throwing Evans and Godwin passes in 2020, as his turnover issues have failed to fade away thus far. Nonetheless, he is excited to help the two accomplish the goal.
