The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made waves this offseason when they pried future hall of fame quarterback Tom Brady away from head coach Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were less than two months removed from winning Super Bowl LIV. But Brady's move took over the league's spotlight ever since. It's natural that the conversation has gravitated for people to debate between which of the two star signal callers will have a better 2020. Former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew has his very own hot take.

On the NFL Network's Good Morning Football, Jones-Drew, known mostly as JD, shared his prediction for the Buccaneers and Brady for this season.

“He's gonna trash 2017” alluding to the six-time Super Bowl winner's 50 touchdown season adding, “I think he's gonna throw 55 touchdowns, 45 hundred yards passing…probably close to five thousand. The Bucs are gonna be one of the toughest teams to stop.”

The three-time Pro Bowler for the Jacksonville Jaguars would later be asked who he thinks between Mahomes and Brady would throw more touchdowns passes in the upcoming season and he responded by saying, “That's tough but Imma go with Tom.” Jones-Drew jokingly added that the reasoning behind his choice is because Brady's from the Bay Area like himself and they “drank the same water at some point”. He even adding that Brady's uncle was his high school principal. Can't hate on that homerism though.

MJD spent eight years playing professional football and entered broadcasting after his retirement back in 2014. He was a three-time All-Pro team selection and led the NFL in rushing yards back in 2011.
