ESPN's Jeff Darlington has been very plugged into Tom Brady's impending free agency, and on Friday, he warned everyone not to discount the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Brady sweepstakes.

“I’ll say there are four teams right now that are interested in Tom: the Titans, the Raiders, the Chargers,” Darlington said on The Dan Patrick Show. “I’m also gonna tell you that yesterday you mocked the idea of the Bucs. Don’t discount the Bucs.”

Obviously, the New England Patriots are also in the mix for Brady's services, but Darlington was naming the four potential contenders who could steal the 42-year-old away.

How good of an option would the Buccaneers represent for Brady?

Well, Tampa Bay has a very good offensive line, with Pro Football Focus ranking it seventh in the NFL following the 2019 campaign. The Bucs also have a couple of terrific wide receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, not to mention a very solid young tight end in O.J. Howard.

The Buccaneers don't have much of a ground game at the moment, but Ronald Jones did show some promise at the end of this past season.

Defensively, Tampa Bay is another story, but if you are just talking about potential weapons, the Bucs certainly have quite a bit to offer Brady, and they definitely have more pieces than the Patriots had this past year.

The idea of Brady going to a team that has not made the playoffs since the 2007-08 campaign may sound ludicrous, but if Brady is simply looking to join a roster that has some weapons, the Buccaneers could represent a possible landing spot.
