The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a roller coaster season so far in 2019. At times, they have been one of the worst teams in the NFL with Jameis Winston struggling mightily, but at other times they have been a very competitive football game with Winston being one of the top producing quarterbacks in the league.

Needless to say, it has been a frustrating year that has shown hope for the future. Winston's future in Tampa Bay is unknown at this point in time, but superstar wide receiver Mike Evans is going to continue being the face of the franchise long-term.

Unfortunately, Evans has been forced to end his season early. According to a report from the Buccaneers' official Twitter account, the team has placed Evans on injured reserve.

Evans had an up-and-down season himself as the Buccaneers struggled to figure out their new offense under head coach Bruce Arians. He caught 67 passes for 1,157 yards and eight touchdowns. Even though he had issues with consistency, Evans still put up massive numbers and was one of the biggest threats in the NFL.

At this point in the season, the Buccaneers are 7-7 and have won four games in a row. Things appear to be trending upward for Tampa Bay, but they are starting to win a bit too late.

All of that being said, the Buccaneers will hope that Evans can come back strong next season. Whether Winston will be back or not is another question, but Evans is in Tampa Bay as long as he wants to be.
