Seeing professional athletes fiercely compete in the heat of a game is entertaining, however seeing these same people in a casual setting is exciting too. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady joined the NFL Draft-A-Thon 2021 along with former teammate wide receiver Julian Edelman and made an interesting remark.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski has also been there. The moment Edelman retired, jokes and speculations of his possible arrival to Tampa Bay were all over the internet. With Brady's influence in the Buccaneers organization, this is a possibility and a reunion with the three is a bit of a feel-good story, depending on the fan base. It is more possible though that Edelman stay retired.

Tampa Bay is loaded at the wide receiver position with Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Antonio Brown, and even Scotty Miller. So adding Edelman would not make a whole lot of sense.

Further, while Gronkowski had a lot of wear and tear in his career at least he has the size to take the hits at 6'6, 265 pounds. On the other hand, Edelman stands at 5'10 and 198 pounds. Plus, because he operates at the slot and makes a lot of catches over the middle, he gets lit up by much larger linebackers.

Edelman had a storied career and spent all his playing years suiting up for the Patriots, while he may not have the most impressive stats, he had a lot of clutch moments and was pivotal in winning three Super Bowls.
