Tom Brady is arguably the greatest NFL player of all time. Despite that fact, the 43-year-old legend is starting over with a new team in the 2020 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after spending 20 fruitful seasons with the New England Patriots.

Since Brady is “just another guy in Tampa Bay,” that means he isn’t immune from criticism from his new head coach Bruce Arians.

Via Charean Williams on NBC Sports Pro Football Talk:

“He’s just another guy,” Arians said last week, per Williams’s story. “He gets cussed out like everybody else. He did a little bit yesterday because he likes to throw the ball in walk-throughs and we don’t throw the ball in walk-throughs. But not very bad.”

Clearly, Tom Terrific will have to get used to his new team and new head coach after being with the same franchise and same head coach (Bill Belichick) for his entire two-decade career.

The Bucs look to have one of the most interesting rosters heading into the 2020 season as many are indeed pondering, perhaps foolishly, how much Brady still has left in the tank after playing deep into the playoffs almost every season of his career.

Beyond bringing in Brady on a two-year, $50 million pact, the team re-signed Jason Pierre-Paul to a two-year deal, signed Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal, traded for Brady’s former running mate Rob Gronkowski and signed LeSean McCoy to a one-year deal to cap it all off.

It’s been a busy offseason, but it’s good to know Brady’s not getting any preferential treatment in practice for the team.
