Entering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 6 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, there was some worry over Tom Brady's thumb injury from the previous week.

Brady put any concerns over his thumb to bed, both with his play and with how little he spoke on it after the Bucs' 28-22 win in Philly.

“Great,” said the Buccaneers QB. It felt great, awesome.”

His highlights certainly reflected his postgame statements. Brady went 34-for-42 with 297 passing yards and two touchdown passes. The Buccaneers did go scoreless in the fourth quarter. But their 14-point cushion heading into the final frame was enough to get the job done. Brady was satisfied with the victory but doesn't want the Bucs to rest on their laurels.

“It was a good win. You know, it's tough to win on the road. Obviously, we didn't play our best, so we gotta get back to work,” Brady said. “We gotta good little break here, use it and get back to work, see if we can get better.”

With their early finish to Week 6, Brady now has a few days extra to get his body right before their next game against the Chicago Bears.

“It's football season, so I'm just prepared to play football,” Brady said. “I feel great, I really do.”

The Buccaneers won't have to worry about Tom Brady, that's for sure.
