Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry is confident superstar swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee for the long haul.

The Bucks can offer Antetokounmpo the supermax contract next summer. Milwaukee had the best record in the NBA this season, but lost to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games.

Despite falling short of making the NBA Finals, Lasry believes Antetokounmpo is committed to winning in Milwaukee and nowhere else.

“As long as we keep doing well and Giannis believes we’re doing everything we can to win I feel good about our chances,” Lasry told Frank Isola of The Athletic. “I believe he wants to be here. I have no reason to believe otherwise.”

Antetokounmpo is a finalist for the 2019 MVP award. The Greek Freak averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists during the regular season while shooting 57.8 percent from the floor and 72.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bucks will pay Giannis $25,842,697 next season. The supermax contract Antetokounmpo can sign in 2020 would be the largest deal in NBA history. A recent report from ESPN said Antetokounmpo could leave the Bucks if they don't get to the Finals next season.

Milwaukee, despite having the best record in the league this season, needs to get more talent around their All-World player.
