Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer believes point guard Eric Bledsoe will be available for the team's first game in the NBA restart against the Boston Celtics.

However, Budenholzer added that it's hard to really guarantee anything since COVID-19 plays by its own rules.

The positive news is that Bledsoe is in good spirits despite contracting COVID-19.

Bucks forward DJ Wilson said Bledsoe has been playing Call of Duty with him, Sterling Brown and Donte DiVincenzo.

The Bucks will face the Celtics, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies in the eight seeding games. Milwaukee, just like last season, has the best record in the NBA.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Bledsoe was averaging 15.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game for the Bucks. The explosive guard, whose nickname is “Mini LeBron,” was also shooting 48.2 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 81.3 percent from the free-throw line.

As is the case every season, the Bucks are only going to win the title if Giannis Antetokounmpo plays like a superstar every game in the 2020 playoffs. However, the play of Bledsoe is important as well since he's the point guard and has the ball in his hands a lot.

Since joining Milwaukee during the 2017-18 season after getting traded by the Phoenix Suns, Bledsoe is averaging 13.6 points on 42.0 percent shooting from the floor in 22 playoff games with the Bucks. Milwaukee fans are hoping Bledsoe will be healthy enough to play at Walt Disney World and put his postseason struggles behind him.
