Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks haven't gotten off to the start they would have liked to begin the NBA season. When speaking about Milwaukee's recent struggles, Antetokounmpo made an interesting admission about the Bucks.

“Maybe we’re not going to win 50, 55 games, 60 games, but at the end of the day, we got to build good habits,” Antetokounmpo said of the Bucks, via The Athletic's Eric Nehm. “We got to build good habits as a team. We got to enjoy playing basketball. We got to enjoy one another, being around one another. Because at the end of the day, we got to play good basketball, we got to build good habits, because at the end, it’s going to matter.”

The Bucks recently took part in a three-game road trip against the likes of the Toronto Raptors, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Charlotte Hornets. After taking down the Raptors, the Bucks fell to the Pelicans and the Hornets, giving them an 11-8 record.

While Milwaukee is still currently positioned as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, it took the team 54 games to lose eight games last season. Antetokounmpo, who inked an extension with the Bucks due to his belief that his current situation gives him the best chance to win a title, believes the team has some work to do.

During the offseason, the Bucks added Jrue Holiday via trade, giving them a talented trio in Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Holiday. Despite the talent that currently resides on the roster, Antetokounmpo hopes that their chemistry improves in time for a championship run.

It is true that the Bucks will be judged in 2021 not based on what they do in the regular season, but on what they and coach Mike Budenholzer achieve in the playoffs. Nevertheless, Giannis knows that Milwaukee has to develop better habits and more cohesion, so that when the postseason does arrive, this team will be ready to meet the challenge.
