The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a crucial defeat at the hands of Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. But the bigger scare was when two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was seen wincing in pain while clutching at his right hand.

The Bucks star tried to power right over Mavs center Dwight Powell for an inside finish and took a hard swipe to the hand. After the game, Giannis was asked about the status of his hand, which had been taped up after the incident. His take on it will be music to Bucks fans' ears.

“I'm good. As long as I can play with my son and I can push him over and all that stuff, I'm good. I just got to take care of it and get ready for Chicago,” said Antetokounmpo.

“But I've got to be extremely careful with it because I'm a player that gets hit a lot when I drive the ball, especially my fingers and my hand. But my hand's not going to stop me from competing and enjoying the game,” the Bucks star continued.

Giannis Antetokounmpo still managed to play a team-high 40 minutes for the Bucks. He led the charge with 28 points and 10 rebounds despite dealing with an ailing hand throughout the rest of the game.

The loss was definitely a tough one to swallow as it dropped the Bucks back to a tie for the third seed with the Philadelphia 76ers and a half game back of the Boston Celtics for the second seed.

Losses like this could be the difference between facing the Chicago Bulls or Toronto Raptors in the first round or having to deal with a play-in team that by current placement of standings won't be the Brooklyn Nets, who can only go as high as 8th as the current 10th seed.

But at the end of the day, as long as Giannis Antetokounmpo is healthy and good to go, the defending-champion Bucks can beat anybody on any given night.
