After a 50-year wait, the Milwaukee Bucks are NBA champions once again. Naturally, it was an emotional moment for the leader of the reigning champs, Giannis Antetokounmpo, when they unveiled their championship banner on Tuesday in the 2021-22 opener.

Before the Bucks played the Brooklyn Nets to officially start the new campaign, the team held its ring and championship banner ceremony to commemorate their success from the previous season. Sure enough, as the team removed the covers of its new championship banner, Giannis couldn't hold back his tears while watching.

It's just hard not to appreciate Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks for their title win in 2020-21. Before their epic run, many believed that the Greek Freak wouldn't be able to win anything in Milwaukee–which is a small market team.

In this era that Super Teams are the trend–with the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant forming their own Big 3s–Giannis was considered unlucky to be playing at this time. Nonetheless, despite talks that he needs to leave the franchise, he didn't falter and instead committed to the Bucks until he led them to the promised land.

The Bucks certainly deserved the title, and luckily for them, they are just getting started. At 26 years old, they get to enjoy more brilliance from the Giannis and perhaps watch him lead Milwaukee to more Finals appearances and titles.
