Giannis Antetokounmpo once again aligned himself with one of the all-time greats of the sport, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.  The Greek Freak reached 12,000 career points in the Bucks' 132-94 dismantling of Philadelphia 76ers at Fiserv Forum on Saturday.

Per the Athletic, the reigning NBA MVP just became the third-fastest player in Bucks franchise history to reach the feat, behind Abdul -Jabbar and Glen Robinson.

Now on his eight-season in Wisconsin, Antetokounmpo has completely separated himself from his 2013 Draft classmates, holding a wide lead over CJ McCollum, Victor Oladipo, Dennis Schroder, and Tim Haradaway Jr.

While Giannis' ceiling has been extremely high to begin with, not a lot of pundits expected him to reach the level of greatness he has today. The 26-year-old megastar is already one of the best Bucks players in franchise history and looks like he'll probably go down as the best there is when it's all said and done.

That distinction, of course, is still held by the great Kareem, who led Milwaukee to its first and only NBA title in 1971. He was still referred to as Lew Alcindor back then and spent six fruitful seasons with the Bucks.

To this day, Abdul-Jabbar still leads the franchise in multiple statistical categories. Giannis, on the other hand, just signed a mammoth max extension to stay in Milwaukee so he'll definitely get plenty of chances to break those records.

The Greek Freak is slowly getting his groove back after returning from injury. Against the Sixers on Saturday, the five-time All-Star tallied 24 points on an efficient 9-for-12 outing from the field, along with 14 rebounds, seven dimes, two steals, and one block in just 24 minutes of action.
