The Milwaukee Bucks were expected to pounce on the New York Knicks on Sunday. But in a strange turn of events, coupled with the Bucks' poor defense, it was the Tom Thibodeau-coached team who came out on top. Two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo shared his disappointment on his team's performance, pointing out that they're not playing their brand of basketball.

Antetokounmpo was not impressed at his team's effort in their 110-130 loss to the Knicks. So much so that he didn't see his team's real identity.

“At the end of the day we have to play hard. This is not us, this is not us. We have to play hard, we played well in the previous game but we have to keep getting better.”

The Bucks allowed the Knicks to shoot 54 percent from the field and 59 percent from deep. Five players scored in double figures led by Julius Randle who had 29 points along with 14 rebounds, and seven assists. Elfrid Payton chipped in 27 points and seven assists while Alec Burks added 19 points from the bench. Head coach Mike Budenholzer agreed with Antetokounmpo that they need to do a better job on defense.

“They had a great night shooting and we've probably got be a lot better defensively,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said, per the Associated Press via ESPN.

On offense, the Bucks struggled, too. They shot just 43.2 percent from the field and a horrendous 18.4 percent from deep. But as the Greek Freak pointed out, they get only get better moving forward. They have a chance to avenge themselves against the Miami Heat on Tuesday.
