Giannis Antetokounmpo is the man of the hour, nay, season of the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks star has completely shifted the narrative surrounding him after leading his team to the championship.

But it wasn't too long ago that people had many reasons to doubt him. To those critics, the Bucks star had a stern message, via The Athletic's Eric Nehm.

“First of all, let’s start with this, motherfuckers did not know I could pass,” Antetokounmpo told The Athletic. “Because I was never at that level. We were never at the top level so they could see. So now they were able to experience how good Khris (Middleton) is, how good Jrue (Holiday) is, how good I am, how smart we are. That’s it.”

Even Giannis Antetokounmpo's staunchest of detractors probably don't have much to say now against the Bucks star. History truly is written by the winners, after all.

But what the Greek Freak showed in the NBA Finals, returning from the knee injury, and coming up big during Milwaukee's most critical moments, will forever be the stuff of legend.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is on top of the world right now. Whatever he says definitely goes until next season comes around.
