The Milwaukee Bucks managed to pull out a 103-101 win in Game 3 against the Boston Celtics, but it didn't come without controversy. The C's were absolutely livid after they didn't get a foul call on Marcus Smart's attempted three-pointer late in the final period. Instead, only two free throws were given, with officials saying he wasn't yet in a shooting motion.

Not one to side with the other team, Bucks GM Jon Horst went on a passionate rant about how awful the officiating really was on Saturday. The amount of free throws for each team says it all.

Via The Athletic:

“When you start looking at the numbers, it’s just, it’s pretty outrageous,” Horst said. “And I think our players and Boston’s players just deserve to have it be addressed and have it be looked at and to just have some improvement.”

“I understand how hard the job is and things happen, but you just want a fair game at the end of the day. I think the stats really speak for themselves.”

Here is a breakdown. The Bucks only took 17 free throws. Jrue Holiday, who attempted 30 shots, didn't go to the charity stripe once and he's a player that drives to the hoop quite frequently. For the Celtics, Brown and Derrick White took 11 and seven free throws, respectively. Boston as a group went to the line 34 times.

Sure, the Celtics didn't get that final call. But the referees were absolutely shambolic in this contest and showed zero consistency. They must be better. Playoff basketball is physical and heated, but the lack of calls can easily be the difference-maker.
