Mychal Thompson, one of the NBA's best 3-point shooters is an NBA treasure. Thompson won two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, becoming a lasting member of the 80s Showtime Lakers team which was one of the best teams in NBA history.

However, Mychal Thompson is now more known as the dad of Klay Thompson, a historically great shooter. The latter is also the member of the Golden State Warriors teams that won the 2017 NBA championship, setting a 16-1 record in the playoffs.

Unlike his father however, Klay is one of the main stars of the Warriors and have contributed much to the Warriors' success. Therefore, it's safe to say that the son has surpassed the father, especially if he wins another title with the Warriors this year.

Though it appears that since the elder Thompson has been out of the NBA for so long, he is starting to forget how to spell the names of the top NBA stars. Coincidentally, he tried to spell the name of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, and he failed miserably on Twitter.

This does appear to be some trolling on Thompson's end. Granted, Antetokounmpo's name is long and difficult to pronounce and spell. However, with a quick Google search and copy and paste, Mychal Thompson could have easily spelled his name correctly.

Still, this just might be a friendly shot towards one of the best players in the NBA and an upcoming contender for the title of the best player in the league. Maybe then, everyone will remember how to spell Antetokounmpo's name.
