Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer has hinted that he could field Giannis Antetokounmpo and his top players this preseason.

In their first preseason game, Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe sat out of the game, as their team cruised to a 122-112 win over the Chicago Bulls.

It's a widely accepted practice that teams opt to restrict their best players from participating in preaseason games in order to avoid any costly injury. However, Budenholzer revealed that he might play his stars in their home opener on Wednesday against the Jazz.

“My guess is yes,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said after practice Tuesday, per Matt Velazquez of the Journal Sentinel. “I’ll probably check with them and make sure they want to play. Usually, they say yes, so I would expect to see most if not all of those guys.”

The Bucks are one of the few top teams in the NBA that went relatively unchanged after the summer. They added some key pieces such as Wesley Matthews and Brook Lopez, but their core is pretty much intact. With that said, chemistry issues won't be much of a problem.

But given Budenholzer's claims, fans may be in for a short treat this season. Antetokounmpo, Middleton and Bledsoe will likely play less than 20 minutes, but it will be enough to excite fans ahead of a promising 2019-20 campaign.
