Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry says he won't seek advice from other teams on how to keep superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.

The Bucks can offer Antetokounmpo the supermax extension next summer. If the reigning MVP declines it, Giannis can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2021.

After stars Paul George, Jimmy Butler and Anthony Davis requested trades, some around the league believe the Bucks should be a little scared about the possibility of losing Antetokounmpo. However, Lasry and his team don't seem concerned.

“No. No. I think the approach is that you have a relationship, and you rely on that relationship,” Lasry told Sam Amick of The Athletic. “So, you know, at the end of the day, my view is that people are going to do what they think is in their best interests. And I hope their view ends up being the same as our view, right? We’re going to do whatever we can. Others will do whatever they can. It’s fine.”

By all accounts, Giannis loves playing for the Bucks and doesn’t have any interest in playing in a big market. He has said in the past he does not like big market cities like Los Angeles and New York.

The Bucks are 24-4. They have the best record in the East, thanks in large part to Antetokounmpo, who has a chance to win his second straight MVP award. The Greek Freak is averaging 31.7 points, 12.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
