Milwaukee Bucks swingman Khris Middleton has improved his game with each passing season. He has made a name for himself in the NBA, to be sure, and now one general manager believes he's just as good as Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors.

“He is as good a two-way wing as Klay,” one general manager told Sean Deveney of Sporting News. “Nearly as good a shooter, as good a defender, a better playmaker. You can run things through him more than you can do with Klay. Khris would be as big a star as Klay if he were playing in Golden State, and he’s probably going to get similar money.”

Middleton, now 27 years of age, has been playing exceptionally well as of late. In a 123-104 victory over the Chicago Bulls earlier this month, the former second-round pick was just two assists shy of a triple-double (23 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two threes in 33 minutes of action).

According to ESPN, Milwaukee's win over Chicago was the team's largest comeback victory of the season, as the Bucks trailed by 22 points in the first half and 18 at halftime. The win tied the second-largest halftime deficit overcome in franchise history.

In his 16 appearances with the Bucks this season, Middleton has racked up averages of 19.3 points on 45.4 percent shooting from the field (42.4 percent from beyond the arc), 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 31.3 minutes per outing.

Middleton and the Bucks will be back in action on Wednesday night, as they're scheduled to host the Portland Trail Blazers. Tip-off inside Fiserv Forum is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
