The dust has barely settled on the Milwaukee Bucks' frustrating second-round exit, and the front office is already looking ahead to what moves must be made to improve the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo. One potential trade to retool the roster involves point guard Eric Bledsoe.

This report comes from Shams Charania of The Athletic:

Rival executives expect the Bucks to prioritize acquiring a playmaker and more shooting in the offseason to retool the roster around Antetokounmpo. Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe is under contract for multiple seasons and had another standout season by earning All-Defensive team honors, but he is expected to become a potential trade candidate, sources told The Athletic.

We all figured the Bucks would be very active in the offseason, especially considering how disappointing the campaign ended for them. As it appears, Bledsoe is one player who could be on the move after yet another disappointing playoff showing. While the veteran point guard is a terrific defender, he has made a habit of putting forth miserable offensive performances in the postseason, and this year was no different.

Milwaukee's main priority here is to keep Giannis happy. The Bucks are going to offer Antetokounmpo a supermax deal, but even though he has said he won't demand a trade, it's unclear if he's going to sign it. Making moves to improve the roster and presenting him with a strong plan for the future could convince him.

One such way of doing so would be to get another star to play alongside Giannis. Bledsoe could prove to be a key piece in any potential deal, but his value alone won't be enough to pry away a bona fide star from his current team. This being the case, it won't be surprising if other prominent Bucks players soon join Bledsoe on the block.
