Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks were doubted and lambasted by naysayers throughout the year, peaking deep into their playoff run and early in the NBA Finals. But after Antetokounmpo's ridiculous performance in six games against the Phoenix Suns to capture the Larry O'Brien trophy, the apology list is only growing.

The 2021 NBA Finals MVP now has all the ammo to fire back at his critics so he's wasting no time in doing so—with much gusto at that. In an interview with Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Antetokounmpo sent out a warning to all teams ahead of their title defense season in 2021-22.

“Milwaukee is on the fucking map again. You know what I’m saying? And they gotta put some respect on our name. We are a dangerous team, we are a dangerous organization, we have a great culture, we have a winning culture and we want to keep getting better.”

The Bucks were already pegged as favorites over the past couple of years until they fell short in the playoffs. After these disappointments, they decided to swing big by trading for Jrue Holiday. It came at a steep price but it was all worth it in the end. Holiday's astute play and Dobermann-like defense proved pivotal in the Bucks' postseason run.

As amazing as he is, Giannis Antetokounmpo has yet to reach his prime. The Bucks superstar is only 26 years old. He still has plenty of time to further hone his skills, potentially adding a reliable jump shot and a more consistent stroke from the free-throw line.

It's not an empty warning coming from Antetokounmpo's mouth. The Bucks are here. These deers are to be feared.
