The Chicago Bulls could be in danger of losing Alex Caruso for an extended period after the fan-favorite guard was unable to return to Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets due to a hamstring problem.

This report comes via Tim Bontemps of ESPN:

As the above report states, Caruso tried to play through the hamstring problem on Saturday. The Bulls were taking on Kevin Durant and the Nets in a marquee matchup in the Eastern Conference and Caruso knew that his team needed him for this one. He tried to give it a go, but he was ultimately unable to play through the pain.

It took Caruso just eight minutes before he was forced to exit the game. The 27-year-old still managed to put up some decent numbers in his limited run, though, as Caruso finished with six points, one rebound, one steal, and two triples.

Hamstring injuries are tricky and we only hope Caruso did not aggravate the issue by attempting to play through it on Saturday night. The Bulls have yet to issue an official statement on Caruso's current status, but he could end up missing a couple of games here.

Chicago gets the night off on Saturday before returning to action on Monday to host the Denver Nuggets.
