The Chicago Bulls continue to add to their training camp roster. After a report came out Friday morning about a camp deal for Xavier's Kaiser Gates, another report from The Athletic's Darnell Mayberry says the Bulls have agreed to a deal with swingman JaKarr Sampson:

Sampson, now 25 years of age, split his time last season with the Sacramento Kings and their G League affiliate, the Reno Bighorns. In a December loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the former St. Vincent-St. Mary standout recorded a career-high 16 rebounds.

Sampson has also served stints in the G League with the Iowa Energy (formerly a Memphis Grizzlies affiliate, but now a Minnesota Timberwolves affiliate as the Iowa Wolves) and Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers).

In 169 NBA games played with the Kings, Sixers and Denver Nuggets, Sampson has racked up averages of 5.1 points on 44.4 percent shooting from the field (25.0 percent from beyond the arc), 2.6 rebounds, and just under one assist (0.8) in 15.6 minutes per outing.

Bulls fans might remember a particular play from last season that involved Sampson and Zach LaVine. With Chicago leading the Kings by 12 and the second-quarter clock running down, LaVine made a strong cut to the hoop, preparing for a dunk. Sampson rose to meet LaVine mid-flight, but it was simply too late. The result? A poster:

The Bulls have 14 fully guaranteed contracts for the 2018-19 season, leaving one spot open. Sampson could potentially be the guy to get that spot, though he will be in for a fight.
