The Chicago Bulls are definitely one of the most interesting teams heading into the 2021-22 NBA season. They loaded up their roster with stars to surround incumbent franchise face Zach LaVine with some legit talent.

After adding Lonzo Ball to a Bulls roster that already included Nikola Vucevic, the news that DeMar Derozan was headed to the Windy City caught some by surprise. But according to DeMar himself, it was plenty of years and secret conversations in the making.

During an appearance on Gilbert Arenas' show No Chill with Gilbert Arenas, the Bulls All-Star shared how the plans for his move started to brew after Vooch was traded to Chicago. He also candidly confirms that there was indeed some tampering going on, as NBA stars often do from the shadows.

“It really came from Vucevic. For years even when he was in Orlando, we always was trying to figure like ‘we need to play together'. A lot of times it be like, y'know, B.S.

But when the opportunity presented itself after he got traded to Chicago, we had a conversation during the season when we played them. He was like ‘Look, you're a free agent let's see what we can do.” And I'm like ‘Imma keep that on my radar' and as things transpired, it just started making more and more sense.”

The Bulls arguably have the highest ceiling and lowest floor among teams in the Eastern conference. It all depends on how quickly all the parts they added mesh together. The only thing we're sure of is this is bound to be an exciting season.
