The Chicago Bulls now find themselves in a tough spot, as forward Patrick Williams has been ruled out of action for four-six weeks, according to various sources, including the team's official Twitter. More information did become available as the story, broke. More on that in a second.

The Bulls had an interesting offseason. After a few years of trying out different things, the road ended for them and forward Lauri Markkanen, who was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, they have also added three great players through free agency. Guards Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Alex Caruso will all instantly help the Bulls become a better team. There is a lot of buzz around this Bulls squad, especially when Nikola Vucevic and main superstar Zach LaVine are added to the mix.

However, there is one setback that might slow down the early part of the season for the Bulls. As they reported on their Twitter, Chicago lost the services of forward Patrick Williams for four-to-six weeks, after he had a severe ankle sprain in practice. Further clarification of the injury was published by NBCS's Rob Schaefer, stating that the Bulls might have him for the start of the season, or after four games have already been played.

The good news, certainly, is the good recovery of Coby White, but losing Patrick Williams will definitely hurt. He is a second-year player out of Florida State and he was part of the All-Rookie team in his first season. Starting at power forward, Williams ended the season averaging 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. He shot 48.3% from the field and shot 39.1% from three. It is clear that he has a lot of potential and this unfortunate injury could be a roadblock, but he should be back for the Bulls soon after the season starts.
