Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has decided to dig deeper into his pockets to make a hefty donation to the healthcare workers that continue to battle the coronavirus on a daily basis.

In an official press release by the Bulls, the team has announced that LaVine, along with a number of partners, will be giving back to the frontliners as a sign of their appreciation for all their hard work and sacrifice:

With generous donations from Zach LaVine and key F&B partners, the Bulls are proud to support hospital partners, Advocate Health Care and Rush Medical Center, and their staffs on the frontlines of the pandemic. In partnership with Beatrix, Coca-Cola, Dunkin', Giordano's, Portillo's, and Taffy Apple, the Bulls will deliver food and beverages reaching 2,000 healthcare workers at different Advocate and Rush locations across Chicagoland every day this week.

LaVine also recently helped out the Seattle area.

A lot of financial aid is currently being offered to those most affected by the current coronavirus pandemic. In particular, local government units have reached out to the many who have lost their jobs because of the lockdowns, and as such, are having trouble making ends meet.

However, it is also important that we recognize the brave fight healthcare workers put up in order to protect us all from the further spread of this dreadful virus. They literally risk their own lives, as they go face-to-face against the coronavirus day in and day out. It is only right that we also give back to them in our own little way, and the Bulls guard's efforts here are truly worth commending.

LaVine and the Bulls went into the NBA's hiatus with a 22-43 record.
