The Chicago Bulls traded Jabari Parker, Bobby Portis, and a second round pick for Otto Porter just this past Thursday. Ironically enough, the Bulls are scheduled to face off against the Wizards this upcoming Saturday, February 9th. This game sets up a situation where former teammates get to play against each other.

Blood will be boiling. Stakes will be high. This is exactly the kind of game players love to be a part of.

Zach LaVine told K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune:

“We’re going to try to give them a good F-U game. You know I like those. Bob’s ready. Jabari almost had a triple-double. I’m going to call them tonight, see how they’re feeling, check their temperature. We’re going to be at them.”

The Bulls are now 12-42 on the season and sit in the 13th place of the NBA's Eastern Conference. The Wizards are 22-32 and currently sit in the 11th place in the East. Both teams are attempting to tank for a rebuild.

For both teams, this past season has been quite the struggle. The Bulls fired their head coach Fred Hoiberg just a month into the season. They promoted Jim Boylen to the head coaching position. Ever since then, the team has been in chaos. The locker room has been a very tense place.

For the Wizards, they put their entire roster on the trading block a week before Thanksgiving. They ended up trading as many players as they could, keeping Bradley Beal and John Wall on the roster.
