Chicago Bulls All-Star Zach LaVine has been battling a knee injury for a good month now, and there was some “concern” when it was reported over the weekend that he would be going to see a specialist in California to get another opinion on the problem. While there has been no official update on the knee, LaVine took to Twitter late Tuesday night to seemingly offer up a tease on good news he received.
The Bulls star did it in GIF form:

Again, while nothing official has been reported or announced, this would seem to suggest LaVine is in good spirits after receiving good news. Given just how many injuries the Bulls have dealt with this season, it was only natural to assume the worst with this knee problem, which would be some kind of surgery. After all, Lonzo Ball missed some games with knee soreness and then all of a sudden needed surgery for a small meniscus tear.
LaVine will not play in Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings, which is Chicago's final game ahead of the All-Star break. The Bulls shooting guard wants to participate in All-Star festivities, including the 3-Point Contest and the game itself, but we'll find out soon what the plan is on that front.
Bulls fans are certainly hoping that this GIF does indeed mean good news on the injury front and LaVine won't need to go under the knife. If all he needs is a bit more rest to get that knee right, perhaps he winds up sitting out All-Star and using the long layoff to get healthy.
Cross those fingers.
