NBA free agency has been a whirlwind of transactions and a lot of the big names have already agreed to new deals in new places. One of the biggest left is DeMar DeRozan, who has been linked to a number of teams. According to Marc Stein, the Chicago Bulls remain in play for a potential sign-and-trade for the veteran.

Oh yes, the Bulls are pulling out all the stops. On the first day of free agency, they got Lonzo Ball on a huge contract just after the start of free agency. Then they brought aboard former Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso on a four-year deal worth $37 million.

Now they are trying to add DeRozan as well, and clearly the Bulls aren't messing around. For what it's worth, the deal could possibly involve Lauri Markkanen heading out from Chicago, per Marc Stein.

“The Spurs have been mentioned often as a potential suitor for Bulls restricted free agent Lauri Markkanen, but lasering in on San Antonio's precise intentions is always a challenge.”

The Bulls core of Zach LaVine, DeRozan, Caruso, Ball and Nikola Vucevic is an intriguing one with a ton of guards, but it remains clear that they want to do anything in their power to make some noise in the Eastern Conference.

This is only the second day of free agency, but things have been going at a rapid pace, and a deal for DeRozan to the Bulls seems quite possible.
