The Chicago Bulls are nowhere near the playoff picture so fans are beginning to look ahead to the offseason’s NBA Draft and NBA Draft lottery, where the Bulls currently have the 4th-best odds to land the number one overall pick. One particular Bulls fan know exactly who he wants his team to take #1 overall. That’s right, Zion Williamson.

The consensus best player in this draft has missed five games already with the Duke Blue Devils, but that doesn’t matter. Zion's abilities have reverberated around the sports almost like no other athlete in years, and his stats at the collegiate level (42.4 Player Efficiency Rating, 70.5 true shooting percentage per College Basketball Reference) are bananas.

As for the Bulls, they have had a rather interesting season, to say the least.

First, the team fired Fred Hoiberg early in the season and replaced him with an old-fashioned, taskmaster-style coach in Jim Boylen. Boylen proceeded to lead the team to its worst net rating in 22 years during his first 7 games there, and his players almost mutinied in response to his hard-nosed coaching practices.

Now, however, the team is playing better, and Zach LaVine in particular has regained the form that he was flashing earlier in the year. Tonight, LaVine tossed in a game-winning layup against the 76ers in memorable fashion.

Every team’s fanbase should be rooting for their team to land Zion, especially with the flattened lottery odds next year. Even if the Bulls don’t get the #1 pick, this fan will always have the memories of this moment – as well as that pricey custom jersey.
