Chicago Bulls shooting guard Denzel Valentine did not exactly have a spectacular Drew League debut. In fact, he got pretty much destroyed in the highly-competitive pickup game. Unfortunately for him, there is some video proof of the mauling.

On top of getting in an intense workout during the summer, Valentine probably thought playing in the Drew League would be a chance for him to showcase his skill set, coming off a commendable sophomore campaign in the NBA. Unluckily for him, he had to face back-to-back Drew League MVP Frank “Nitty” Session, who casually dropped 40 points on Valentine.

The highlights clip shows how Session was able to effectively defend Valentine on several occasions, causing him to commit turnover after turnover. The Drew League legend is also seen draining a face-up trey against Valentine, who was obviously having an off night.

Session's trash talking was relentless, and he even had a few words to say to San Antonio Spurs players DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay, who both happened to be in attendance. Session blatantly questioned how Valentine merited a roster spot in an NBA team, which gave DeRozan and Gay a good laugh.

To make matters worse for Valentine, even the commentator got in on the act, taking a verbal shot at the 24-year-old, as he was sitting out the fourth quarter of the ballgame.

Valentine will want to put this embarrassment behind him as soon as possible, as he looks to further develop his game and be able to proficiently contribute for the Bulls this coming season.
