The Vancouver Canucks are fighting tooth and nail to make the playoffs, but they will have to do it without one of their best players.

Bo Horvat suffered a lower-body injury on Thursday night in a 7-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes after blocking a shot and will now be out for two weeks as a result, which means his regular season is basically over.

Via Canucks PR:

Vancouver has a very slim chance of still making the postseason, but Horvat's absence certainly doesn't help. The center is having a tremendous year, racking up 31 goals and 21 assists in 70 games played. The Canucks have won five in a row. To make matters worse, Nils Hoglander also just had surgery on a groin injury and is out indefinitely.

The Canucks have just seven games left in the campaign but sans Horvat, it's going to be tough. Not only is he their campaign, but the 27-year-old is one of their most electric offensive players. Vancouver is back at it on Monday night as they host the Dallas Stars then also host the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.

If they can somehow sneak into the playoffs, let's hope Bo Horvat could possibly return at that time. Canucks fans will be praying.
