Even at 42 years old, Albert Pujols is still finding a way to make an impact for the St. Louis Cardinals. And he is still also finding a way to put his name in the record books.

After hitting his 20th career home run against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pujols has now hit at least 20 home runs against 17 different franchises. This breaks a record set by Hall of Famer and MLB legend Ken Griffey Jr.

With this achievement, Albert Pujols adds another achievement to a storied career.

Pujols, a three-time MVP, 11-time All-Star, six-time Silver Slugger, and two-time Gold Glove winner also has several other spots in the record books.

He currently sits fifth in all-time home runs with 684, third in RBIs with 2,169, and tenth in hits with 3,330. He also leads all active players in RBI’s, extra-base hits, home runs, and nearly every other hitting stat.

Even though he is currently in the midst of season 22, Albert Pujols has frequently managed to be effective. He still plays a role on this Cardinals team and has made several big plays this season.

Through 134 at-bats this season, Pujols has recorded 29 hits, five home runs, and 19 RBIs while having a batting average of .216.

Albert Pujols will also be competing in both this year's Home Run Derby and All-Star game. In what will be the final all-star appearance of his storied career, Pujols could be in for a fun time.

Alongside Pujols, Miguel Cabrera will also be making an appearance in the All-Star game. Both players received special designations from the Commissioners office.
