The Arizona Cardinals have interviewed Hue Jackson for their vacant offensive coordinator position, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Jackson split the 2018 campaign between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, first serving as head coach of the Browns through late October before getting fired. He then moved over to the Bengals, where he held a post as a special assistant to the head coach.

To say that Jackson failed as a head coach would be putting it lightly.

In two-and-a-half years with Cleveland, Jackson went just 3-36-1, including an 0-16 season in 2017. He also briefly served as head coach of the Oakland Raiders back in 2011, going 8-8, bringing his total head-coaching record to 11-44-1.

Needless to say, offensive coordinator may be more his thing.

The 53-year-old has plenty of experience in that role, serving as an offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, Raiders and Bengals throughout the course of his NFL tenure.

He earned his first NFL coaching job back in 2001, where he took over as Redskins running backs coach and held the post for two seasons before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2003.

Jackson most recently served as an offensive coordinator with Cincinnati in 2015, marking a two-year stint at that position with the Bengals.

The Cardinals are still looking to fill some vacancies on their coaching staff, but they obviously nailed down the big one by landing Kliff Kingsbury to be their head coach.

Arizona won just three games in 2018 and was ranked last in the NFL in both offensive yardage and points per game.
