The Arizona Cardinals suffered a major blow to their offense in Week 1 with star running back David Johnson going down with a wrist injury. The injury required surgery resulting in the team putting him on the injured reserve list.

With Johnson off the field, a lot of fantasy football owners who picked the All-Pro have seen their championships dreams go down the tubes. Johnson was recently asked about fantasy football, and he made it clear that concern for fantasy owners is the very last thing on his mind, via ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.

“No, no, that's the last thing,” the Cardinals' star running back said Wednesday in his first public comments since suffering a dislocated wrist in a Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions. “Fantasy is the last thing on my mind right now.”

Along with devastating fantasy football teams, Johnson's injury has likely ruined any hopes of the Cardinals making a playoff push this season. Veteran running back Chris Johnson was brought back to share carries in the backfield with Andre Ellington and Kerwynn Williams.

As for Johnson, he'll be out for the majority of the season if not the entirety of it due to the need for wrist surgery. Johnson wanted to avoid surgery to return sooner, but a second opinion convinced him it needed to be done therefore derailing his 2017 campaign.
