Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray isn't passing the blame to anyone else. Last year's first overall pick was sacked 48 total times last season, but believes this wasn't the result of lapses from his offensive line. He admits that the high sack total falls squarely on him.

Murray shared his sentiments to reporters during a video conference. He admits that he might have let the pressure get to him a little too much. The former Oklahoma star was the most sacked rookie in the NFL last season, which made his offensive line take some criticism of their own as well.

“I don’t think I’ll be putting those guys in that situation too many times anymore,” the Cardinals gunslinger said, via USAToday.com. “If it happens, it happens, but I think we’ll be a lot better just from experience.”

But things got better as the season went on. After holding the ball for too long and making green mistakes early on in the year, he learned to pace himself a little better game by game. He was sacked 3.5 times in the first 13 games played, but only twice in the last three contests.

There's definitely reasons to be optimistic about the former two-star athlete going forward. He recently got on the field to train with some of his teammates, including his first reps with their team's prized offseason acquisition – DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cardinals still has high hopes for their young stud. He might have just been going through some growing pains, but the talent is evidently there.
