Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals have been in the headlines of late with a reported rift growing between the quarterback and the franchise that drafted him.
Murray was seen to have wiped clean his Instagram and rumors swirled about Murray's frustration with the team as they were eliminated unceremoniously by the eventual Super Bowl winning Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round.
The Cardinals QB eventually spoke out on all the whispers, calling them “nonsense” in a statement he released on Twitter just a few days later.
“I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me (and) to win championships,” Murray wrote. “All of this nonsense is not what I'm about, never has been, never will be. Anyone who has ever stepped between those lines with me knows how hard I go.

“Love me or hate me but I'm going to continue to grow and get better.”

Nearly two weeks after the smoke was first noticeable, it appears as though the relationship between the Cardinals and their QB has been on the mend as of late. This comes from a report via NFL Network's Jane Slater:
Following Instagram cleanses and reports of immaturity, quarterback Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals are on the same page and the goal in Glendale is moving forward, NFL Network's Jane Slater reported Thursday.
Slater, who reported “everything is copacetic” between the club and its franchise QB, added her understanding is the parties are now working to exercise the former No. 1 overall pick's fifth-year option or agree to terms on a long-term deal. Murray has one season remaining on his rookie contract.
Settling the contract situation and potentially locking up a long-term deal could go a long way in keeping this peace as the Cardinals head towards a season with even greater expectations.
