It's a Trent Sherfield world, and we are all just living in it, including quarterback Brett Hundley. For the second week in a row, the Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver has made a big play in a preseason game.

This week, his victim was the Oakland Raiders, specifically cornerback Nick Nelson and safety Erik Harris. Sherfield beat both on a 40-yard touchdown reception to reduce a 26-0 second-quarter deficit.

Sherfield showed off the wheels by beating Nelson in press-man coverage. Yet, can we talk about that throw by Brett Hundley? The Arizona native pinpointed that pass despite a collapsing offensive line in front of him.

This was a perfect throw by the former Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson understudy.

Hundley had himself a game Thursday night. He went 10-15 for 139 yards and a touchdown without any interceptions after filling in for Kyler Murray. He outplayed the 2018 No. 1 overall pick, albeit against a lesser defense.

Murray went 3-8 for 12 yards and four rushing yards. He was sacked twice, including one for a safety. He was running for his life behind the Cardinals' offensive line, a testament to their lack of blocking and the quality of the Raiders' improved pass rush.

As for Sherfield, his touchdown was his lone reception. However, it's the second week he has made an impactful play for the Cardinals. In a 17-13 win the previous week against the Los Angeles Chargers, the wide receiver scored a big-time special teams touchdown and connected with Hundley on another touchdown pass.

Sherfield continues to move up the ranks to make the Cardinals 53-man roster in a vastly rebuilt wide receiver room. As for Hundley, he's just about locked in as the backup to Murray.
