It didn't take long for Caris LeVert to make his presence felt in an Indiana Pacers uniform. In just his seventh game back from that scary kidney surgery, the 26-year-old swingman showcased why the Pacers thought highly of him in that blockbuster James Harden trade.

LeVert showcased his clutch gene versus the pesky Detroit Pistons on Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. With the home team up by just two with under ten seconds left in regulation, LeVert knew Indy needed a dagger to put away Detroit for good. He made his move against defender Josh Jackson then called upon his own number.

The 6-foot-6 swingman brushed off Jackson with a series of moves before creating space with a gorgeous step back. After getting the look he wanted, LeVert flung a cold-blooded 3-pointer which hit nothing but nylon.

Here's the heroic play.

That separation was all the Pacers needed as they ran away with a 116-11 win, thanks to LeVert's valiant shot. The former University of Michigan standout finished with his best game as a Pacer, dropping 28 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 34 minutes of action, while shooting an efficient 10-of-19 from the floor and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Even from his Brooklyn Nets days, Caris LeVert has proven himself capable of stepping up when needed by the team. The Pacers have been rumored to be open to trade discussions involving point guard Malcolm Brogdon and All-Star big man Domantas Sabonis.
