After a rough year, the Carolina Panthers offseason outlook should put this NFL franchise in a great spot. The roster is stacked with young talent and they are arguably a quarterback away from taking over the NFC South. We could see the front office make some big moves but only time will tell. For that reason, we take a look at some of our Panthers' offseason predictions.

Defensively, Carolina's defense should develop into one of the league's best. They have a ton of young talent who are shaping up to become future stars. However, it would be smart of the Panthers to reel in some veterans to establish any weaknesses on the defense. If they can do that, this unit will be tough to score on.

Most of the problems for this team are on the offensive side of the ball. The Panthers have some work to do, but if they can improve the offensive line, add a big-bodied receiver, and trade for a superstar quarterback, life will become much easier for Carolina.

With that said, here are four bold Panthers offseason predictions.

Panthers Offseason Predictions

4. Improve the defensive line by signing Calais Campbell

Although Calais Campbell is getting up there in years, he would bring tremendous help to this young Panthers defense. He'd fill in as an immediate starter while serving as a leader and mentor for the young players on the defensive line. Additionally, Carolina wouldn't have to worry too much about improving the front seven through the draft and could focus on bigger areas of need.

3. Panthers make drastic changes to the offensive line

The offensive line wasn't terrible, but changes must be made. Carolina is rumored to be interested in trading for a superstar quarterback. To increase trade interest in said quarterback, having a solid offensive line goes a long way. The Panthers would suddenly become one of the best teams in the NFL up front, as they could control the trenches every week.

On top of that, bolstering the offensive line helps the run game as well. Christian McCaffrey has dealt with injuries lately, but having better protection in the trenches will certainly make his life easier. Finding a way to improve upfront should be at the top of the to-do list in the offseason.

2. Front office signs Mike Williams

DJ Moore has the potential to be a superstar wide receiver in the NFL. However, he needs some help in the receiving room to truly shine. Robby Anderson is a speed demon who can take it over the top, but the Panthers could use another deep threat who is more reliable. Look for the front office to potentially make a push for Mike Williams, as he could be the key to unlocking Moore.

1. Carolina trades for Deshaun Watson

This might be tough, as Deshaun Watson is still figuring out his multiple sexual assault allegations. It's not clear when he'll come back to the NFL, but he's sure to be traded at some point. Regardless of the outcome of his lawsuits, the Panthers should take the gamble and trade for Watson.

He could face a suspension, or worse. However, the Panthers are close to having a playoff-contending roster. When Deshaun Watson is on the field, he's easily one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Considering Carolina is already rumored to make a push for a superstar quarterback, they might as well make a deal happen to acquire Watson.
