Teammates for several seasons on the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce have been friends since they played on the same AAU team when they were in high school. The bond that was created back then was one reason why Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen were able to lead the Celtics to a championship in 2008. And since they have been friends for so long, the bond that exists between Garnett and Pierce will never be broken.

Both Garnett and Pierce talked about their friendship and winning a championship in Boston together in a video for The Player's Tribune:

Pierce will join Garnett in retirement at the end of the season, which will surely allow both future Hall of Fame players to spend even more time together.
