Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan was recently spotted dining with Boston Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck, according to Ian Mohr of Page Six.

Dining with the two were Jordan's wife Yvette Prieto, and two fellow owners Jeanie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens. The group was reportedly seen having dinner at Scarpetta in Manhattan, New York.

One has to imagine the reaction of the people when they, especially the Greatest of All Time, entered the room.

“The entire restaurant gasped when he entered the dining room. He was really friendly and his presence engulfed the room.”

With the NBA gearing up for the 2018-19 regular season, the star-studded cast of owners were probably just having a friendly up with each other.

While Jordan is widely considered as the greatest basketball player to ever play the game, his success in the behind-the-scenes of the NBA, either as an owner or a general manager, isn't necessarily on par with his success on the court.

Jordan's Hornets have not been able to string together winning regular seasons and have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league in recent memory.

Grousbeck's Celtics, on the other hand, is one of the best teams in the league. With the impending return of two of their top players in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, the Celtics are definitely favorites to be the East's representative in this year's NBA Finals after coming so close last year.

The Charlotte Hornets open their pre-season campaign against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, September 29. Finally, the NBA is back.
